Hi all,
Thanks everyone for your interest, support, and prayers. We completed our mission trip and everyone got home safe and sound. Thank you to Skip & Mike - for taking their precious time to drive up to camp and back all in one day, so that some of us could get there and home. Thank you to Scott for taking a week of vacation to supervise - not just the big project at camp (which was done very successfully), but the kids and I too. Your experience and help made all the difference for me. What a blessing!!! Speaking of blessings - God truly blessed us all, but the youth blessed not only the camp, but me personally. I learned so much from them and look forward to a great youth group year. Two of my very special memories from this week are the deer that blessed us during devotions one morning - the doe and fawn almost seemed to join us as we were praying. And I loved "jamming" in the car with the Adelle songs as well as Shrek's "You Gotta Have Friends" We all were blessed by friendship this week - what an awesome gift. I hope we all can get caught up in our rest this weekend.
We will be sharing some of our experiences during worship on Sunday, August 28th - please join us either at the 8:00am or 10:15am services to see/hear for yourself the witness of workcamp 2011. All are welcome and hoped for. Thank you all again for your support as you followed our blog. Blessings - always and in all ways. Posted by Pastor Sue

Tearing down dry wall is awesome, except for having to clean up the mess. . . and when they say "barking spiders" stay away from the boys.-laural
Repairing signs takes forever and I still can't completly trush Mariah with the saw (lol), but we've had fun painting although it's incridibly messy! :D - Shannon
As you can see - we having fun and we're still accomplishing work - To God be the Glory! Pastor Sue

Day 3 of Workcamp 2011
Hi everyone,
It has been a busy day so far. We have been blessed by exceptional weather - cooler temperatures and humidity that is perfect. It really is a great help for the painting projects.
It isn't all work though - there is a lot of fun and time to enjoy God's glory all around us. The camp is beautiful, the lake refreshing, and the staff is taking great care of us. In fact while I'm writing this, the kitchen staff is busy preparing a cook-out for us. We are being fed very well!!! Although I must say everyone has worked up some great appetites as well.
Scott's crew has done some amazing work - they have been hanging dry wall and have gone over their daily goal. Sue's crew has had some challenges with the signs. The glue isn't exactly cooperating on all the projects, but we did start painting some of the signs today - and we are happy with the outcome thus far. We also have a 3rd team that has done some sanding, scraping, staining, and painting. Travis - the staff person working with us on these projects is very happy with some of the tasks on his to do list actually getting accomplished. The other camping group - the Family camp that evolved around horses left this afternoon, so believe it our not but we have this whole camp to ourselves for the next couple of days - AMAZING!!! And actually very quiet. Those that have been here before say it is really weird - but I must say - I kinda like it.
It is amazing that the week is half over - but I have to say, I'm looking forward to getting home, seeing my family, and sleeping in my own bed. By the way - Happy 18 month birthday Brianna!!!! Blessings all - always and in all ways. Posted by Pastor Sue

Day 3 of Workcamp 2011 continues
Hey Everybody!
It's day three of work camp and I'm having a great time. Besides doing work like dry walling, fixing signs, and fixing rope courses, we've played games like wiffle ball, capture the flag and volley ball. We're having fun and giving God the glory while we're doing it. I can't wait to see what we're doing next!
